Njavaratheppu Treatment in Ayurveda

  Njavaratheppu is a highly nourishing and rejuvenating Ayurvedic skin treatment, traditionally practiced in Kerala. It involves the topical application of warm, cooked Njavara rice paste —a special variety of medicinal rice known for its exceptional healing properties. This treatment is a variation of Njavarakizhi but is specially focused on enhancing skin health, complexion, and vitality . In Sanskrit, “Njavara” refers to the unique rice used, and “Theppu” means application or smearing. This therapy is widely used in Ayurvedic beauty and wellness programs, particularly for nourishing dry, damaged skin and improving skin tone.
